Where: Tapaz, Capiz and Iloilo City, Philippines
When: August 1-5, 2027
Why Tapaz, Capiz: The medical mission will be held in Artuz which is a remote barangay of Tapaz town in Capiz. Due to its distance from the town, residents have very limited access to essential health services. Many families rely primarily on farming for their income which makes it difficult to afford regular medical check-ups, medications and preventive care. Transportation to nearby clinics is a challenge as it takes hours to travel. Due to these barriers, many health concerns go untreated or are only addressed at later stages.
This medical mission aims to bring basic health services directly to the community- providing consultations, health education, and essential medicines, while also promoting preventive care and overall well-being.
Weather: July in Capiz and Iloilo City is characterized by warm, humid, and rainy weather, as it falls within the Philippine rainy season. Expect temperatures ranging from 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit, with frequent, often short-lived heavy showers and high humidity. In July, Iloilo City offers a mix of rainy-season-friendly indoor heritage tours and vibrant culinary experiences, with warm, breezy weather.
